This brilliant Sikkens Cetol Plus HLS (Base Coat) is a solvent-based wood stain specifically designed for exterior softwoods and hardwood.
Suitable to be used for exterior timbers including joinery, cladding and fascias, its provides flexible coating preventing peeling and cracking from occurring. It also has a high UV resistance and helps to maintain the integrity of the surface it is applied to through helping to prevent mould and algae from appearing.
This Sikkens Cetol Plus HLS (Base Coat) can be used prior to the application of Sikkens Cetol Filter 7 and can be applied with a brush for an application of 14m2 per L. Recoatable in 18-24 hours and with a high VOC, once applied its offers an overall translucent, semi gloss finish.

We don't recommend applying the Sikkens Cetol Plus HLS (Base Coat) with a roller, as these tend to spread the product too thin. For better coverage and application, simply apply using a good quality, long haired, natural bristle brush.
