How should I prepare my exterior surfaces before applying Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Undercoat paint?

To achieve optimum results and benefit from 6 years all weather protection, ensure you clean and dry your surfaces and remove any weathered, greyed wood. Ensure that previously painted surfaces have been thoroughly rubbed down ,then wiped off with a damp, lint free cloth. Any knots appearing into the wooden surface should be treated with an appropriate knotting solution before application can begin.

If applying Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior Undercoat to new or bare wooden surfaces we recommend applying 2 coats, however if you are applying to previously painted surfaces, 1 coat should be enough.
